Warrior Wins in USA
Maurice Beatson and Sally Clark left NZ in early April with a team of 6 horses to compete on the West Coast of the USA with a view to qualifying for the World Equestrian Games. Along with the team are the two first progeny of the Longspring mare DISTANCE LS.
Distance LS by Distelfink and bred by Longspring Stud is the mother of Jedi Warrior and Once a Warrior – both are by Maurice’s stallion WISHING WELL. As NZ Sport Horses, they are earning good results on what is after all a very competitive circuit. Results below are from emails that Sally sends back periodically and show the following for the two horses in chronological order (as of 14 July 2010):
DEL MAR - Jedi Warrior 2nd in a specialty speed class
Next Show ? - Jedi 6th in the Grand Prix
LA Equestrian Centre - Once A Warrior won 1.30m class
SACRAMENTO – Jedi Warrior, second in his class and Once a Warrior placed
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO – Jedi Warrior beat some good horses to win 1.40m
