The line descending from one of the stud's most successful mares SOVERLETTE a tb by the known jumping sire SO VAIN will prove this horse is a natural talent in competition. Specifically SOVERLETTE produced top jumpers and eventers including DENVER, DAKOTA, DALLAS COWBOY & DEALER.

This young horse himself is very correct in his conformation with a lovely topline and strong backline. We rate this young horse as one of our top sales prospects. This is an outstanding prospect for anyone looking for lovely movement and jumping ability with a temperment to match.

Sire

DARKMINSTER is an exciting combination of New Zealand’s best ever jumping and eventing sire in DISTELFINK with the top eventing bloodlines of WESTMINSTER making him one of the best NZ bred eventing stallions but also equally suited as a jumping sire. He was bred by show jumper Maurice Beatson who intended to compete him until an injury meant he was not ever going to be sound enough to compete.

DARKMINSTER is a beautiful type of stallion – very scopey with a fabulous jump according to Maurice. He is kind and intelligent and relates well to what is happening around him. His progeny are all stunning and athletic types with beautiful elevated movement and an equally impressive jump.

Dam

Tigerlette LS is by TIGER MOTH LS who is out of a full sister to the legendary JEEP SUPER MOTH who won more than 75 classes including 44 at GP level and is by TRIBUNE who is a TB with the valuable French bloodlines going back to Veux Manoir. Tribune was by TRIC TRAC who still holds a major place on the NZ all time career wins for showjumping progeny notably because of his sons NATIONWIDE and MR KINCAID; and eventer KIWI who was on the Australian Event Team with Andrew Hoy.  NATIONWIDE won the Horse of the Year title twice with Maurice Beatson and MR KINCAID once.

TRIBUNE himself produced notable offspring including CHIEF JUSTICE bred by Jenny & Campbell Draper who was a top young event horse before being sold to Australia for top money.

His Grand Dam Distelette LS by Distelfink was a full sister to Denver LS who was a top jumper and eventer who won over $25,000 with Catriona McLeod. He was on the NZ Eventing team to Australia in 1994 and won the Wandin Park ODE and was 2nd in the Werribee International 3DE***, and had 3 placings in NZ's CCI   *** events. Denver was shortlisted for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and ranked in the top 30 of the Worlds top event horses in the  World Breeding Championships at the time.

Another full brother DEALER LS won the Horse of the Year Speed Championship title with rider Anna Stephen and two other full brothers DAKOTA LS and DALLAS COWBOY LS sold overseas as jumpers for very good money.
